"ZEREX Dex-Cool Antifreeze/Coolant. I live in Tucson, AZ., so I use this product as my coolant. We have already had a 105 degree day here in Tucson and it's only 19 May. I've used ZEREX for some time now and have always been very happy with it's quality. The thing I like most about the product is how it protects against corrosion. Every time that I drain my coolant it's almost as clean as the day I put it in. Here in Tucson, I replace my vehicle's coolant every Spring. It has a 5 year/150,000 miles guarantee. I'm sure using the coolant that long would be fine for most people. But, I do a lot of high speed interstate driving. I feel better changing my coolant out more often."

Does the color of antifreeze matter? Can you mix antifreeze with different colored antifreeze products?

Color is used by many antifreeze and vehicle manufacturers for identification purposes. Color has no bearing on the performance of the antifreeze. Always follow the specifications in your owner's manual for coolant applications.

How Does Engine Coolant Work?

Engine coolant is mixed with water, usually at a 50/50 ratio, and poured into the proper reservoir in your engine. The chemical ethylene glycol is used as a base to create a liquid that is pumped through your car’s engine to regulate and maintain an optimal operating temperature during extreme hot or cold weather conditions.
