"Essential accessory. Many people just don't think about having antifreeze handy. Especially if they live in one of the warmer climates like I do. I live in Texas so "antifreeze" is not so much a daily thought but "anti-boil" is a daily thought. The same chemicals that prevent freezing also prevent boiling. Having a premixed 50/50 solution in a sealed jug should be part of everyone's standard emergency kit. I always keep a gallon in the trunk. Should I face a problem that causes a loss of all my coolant, I perform whatever quick fix is required, and then I pour the gallon directly in the radiator. Not having to mix anything reduces the likelihood of making a mistake and 1 gallon will always be good enough to get to a service station. With this application, once used, I buy a new jug. Keeping a 50/50 jug of coolant in the trunk is just good planning."
